Now...Numerous showers will continue to affect los angeles county through the afternoon hours...With some storms producing brief heavy downpours...Small hail...And gusty winds. There will also be a slight chance of thunderstorms across the antelope valley...Mountains...And adjacent foothills. Rainfall amounts will generally be less than a quarter inch with this system...However local amounts up to one half can be expected near heavier showers or thunderstorms. The snow level will range from 3000 to 4000 feet today...Falling as low as 2500 feet in heavier showers. Snow showers will likely impact travel this afternoon across interstate 5 near the grapevine...As well as interstate 14 through the soledad canyon. In addition...Accumulating snowfall can be expected in the foothills of the antelope valley...While the desert floor will likely see a mix of light snow...Ice pellets...And sleet.
