Now...Heavy showers with embedded storms moving west... Good afternoon from the impact weather desk. National weather service doppler radar continues to show heavy showers and storms developing just inland from the coast and pushing toward the west at 20 to 25 mph. Where it has rained...Rainfall accumulations have been mostly less than one half inch. However...Some areas have received over an inch of rain...Such as along the Wekiva River extending southwest across plymouth to central lake county between okahumpka and mascotte. Additional heavy rain showers will affect portions of east central Florida through the afternoon...Primarily interior sections. The bulk of the activity has been across northern sections but expect coverage to increase over southern sections as more shower activity moves onshore along the space and treasure coasts and increases in coverage as it pushes inland across okeechobee and osceola counties.
