Now...The east coast sea breeze has developed and is pushing westward across central Florida. The sea breeze is pushing more rapidly across osceola and okeechobee counties due to outflow from previous showers and storms near the coast. Farther north...The sea breeze is making slower progress inland across volusia county. Radar and satellite imagery show the west coast sea breeze has also developed and sparking scattered storms along the boundary. So a collision is likely early this evening near lake county. Strong heating is occurring over the interior counties with temperatures expected to reach near 90 by late afternoon. But the cumulus cloud field looks rather sparse indicating presence of some dry air. Nonetheless... Isolated storms will continue to develop sparked by the east coast sea breeze and some of the larger lake breeze boundaries. Given the cold temperatures aloft...A few strong storms seem inevitable especially associated with collisions between the sea breezes and other lake breezes over the next several hours. Gusty winds up to 50 mph and hail can be expected in the stronger storms. An isolated severe storm with large hail and damaging winds is possible. Storm motion will be slow and erratic because of very weak steering flow. This will promote heavy rainfall accumulating up to 3 inches locally in an hour or two...Causing temporary flooding of some roads and low lying areas. ....Including Graphics are available online at: Http://www.Srh.NOAA.Gov/mlb/blog.Php
