Now...South to southwest steering winds will again tend to concentrate afternoon and evening lightning storms from orlando east to the coast. The late afternoon interaction of the east coast sea breeze with the prevailing south to southwest flow will help to develop lighting storms from volusia county to lake okeechobee and east to the atlantic. The combination of cooler temperatures aloft and drier air in the middle levels of the atmosphere will enhance the potential for stronger storms in the late afternoon and early evening. The primary weather hazards will be cloud to ground lightning strikes... Wind gusts to 45 mph and locally heavy rain. Slow storm movement and locally heavy rain will LEAD to local accumulations of two to three inches of rain from the stronger storms. This will result in the possibility of short term excessive standing water on roads and poorly draining areas. The prevailing south to southwest wind will delay the onset of the east coast sea breeze and slow its inland movement.
