Now...At 525 pm...A strong cold front was pushing through south central New Mexico. The front extended from near truth or consequences to deming. Just ahead of the front...A thin band of light showers has developed. While winds have been gusty all through the afternoon... Expect a sudden increase in winds as the front pushes through the area. Visibility will also Decrease in blowing dust with the stronger winds. The cold front should reach las cruces by 630 pm... And the el paso area around 7 pm.
