Regional Weather Discussion...Dense fog and freezing fog will be of concern to most of Oklahoma and north Texas this morning. Our region was caught in a relatively stagnant wind flow to the north of a warm front that was stretched across central Texas. Recent melting and sublimating of snow cover had provided ample moisture near the ground...To produce areas of dense fog and low cloud cover. At 1230 am...Dense fog and freezing fog was widespread through southern and central Oklahoma...And had also developed out toward clinton and enid. Light southeasterly winds will carry fog and cloud development toward western north Texas and much of western and northern Oklahoma early this morning. Temperatures will tend to remain just below freezing to the north of a line from seminole to duncan to altus in Oklahoma. Farther south...Temperatures will tend to remain near or just above freezing...But freezing temperatures May also occur in some of the valleys of southern Oklahoma and western north Texas...Especially during periods of lesser cloud cover. The temperatures being observed this morning May result in a thin glaze of ice on exposed surfaces...As the fog deposits moisture.
