Now...Severe thunderstorm watch 289 in effect until 10 pm cdt this evening... Through 830 pm...Severe thunderstorms will continue pounding extreme eastern portions of llano and northwestern portions of burnet counties around buchanan dam during the next hour. Radar indicated these storms could contain golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts. These storms will be moving east northeast across burnet county during the next 30 to 45 minutes. Persons in burnet county especially should be alert for developing severe weather during the next hour.
