Now...A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for the southeast Texas panhandle through 9 pm. A cold front stretches across the Texas panhandle from lake Marvin to near clarendon. The front will continue to move to the southeast at Around 15 mph through the early evening. Through 9 pm...Thunderstorms will continue along and ahead of the front as it moves into a more moist environment. Storms will be moving through eastern and southeastern hemphill county...Wheeler county...And collingsworth county. The thunderstorms will affect locations from around allison and lake Marvin southwestward to around wellington. The primary area of development for further storm development will be in the extreme southeast Texas panhandle. The main threat will be gusty winds and large hail. Rainfall will average from near a quarter of an inch to near half inch...With locally higher amounts near an inch to an inch and a half.
