...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM EDT TUESDAY FOR ALLEGAN...KENT...OTTAWA...NEWAYGO...MUSKEGON AND OCEANA COUNTIES... At 647 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated steady rain across the warning area...some of which was heavy. The rain will continue for much of the night. As of 600 PM EDT...storm total rainfall amounts ranged from around 2 inches in the Grand Rapids to Holland region...to 3 to 4 inches from Hart to White Cloud area. Locally higher amounts have occurred. Additional rainfall amounts in excess of an inch are possible into Tuesday. Flooding of small streams...urban and poor drainage locations are possible as we go through the night. Considerable rises are expected on Plaster...Buck and Indian Mill Creeks through Kent County. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Holland, Grand Haven, Allegan, Plainwell, Lowell, Hart, Newaygo, White Cloud, Wyoming, Kentwood, Walker, Shelby, Muskegon Heights, East Grand Rapids, Hudsonville, Rockford, Zeeland and Coopersville.
