National Weather Service doppler radars indicated scattered showers and thunderstorms moving northeast at around 40 mph across eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. The entire area of showers and thunderstorms was shifting slowly eastward. Most of the precipitation remained along and east of Highway 75. Through 9:00 PM... Rain showers and thunderstorms will continue to progress toward the northeast across eastern Oklahoma, generally along and east of Highway 75 and into western Arkansas. Plentiful moisture will continue to stream northward into the region ahead of an approaching cold front. Average hourly rainfall rates of a tenth to a quarter of an inch, are anticipated. Locally higher amounts are likely from thunderstorms. Isolated severe storms are expected across parts of southeast Oklahoma and western Arkansas, where a Tornado Watch is in effect until 11 PM CST Sunday. $$
