This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of East Arkansas... the Missouri Bootheel...North Mississippi...and West Tennessee. .DAY ONE...Tonight A dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am Friday morning for northeast Mississippi. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday A dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am Friday morning for northeast Mississippi. A few strong thunderstorms will be possible across northeast Mississippi on Saturday. Damaging winds will be the primary threat. A period of wintry precipitation is possible across portions of the Mid-South late Saturday afternoon through the overnight hours as a strong cold front moves through the Lower Mississippi Valley. Some minor snow accumulations of near an inch and light freezing drizzle are possible, mainly along and north of I-40. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time. Reports of winter weather or road impacts are very welcomed.

...Light Wintry Precipitation Possible this Weekend... A progressive storm system moving through the Lower Mississippi and Tennessee River Valleys Saturday afternoon and Saturday night may bring light snow and freezing drizzle to areas generally along and north of I-40. The minor accumulations anticipated may cause elevated surfaces and secondary roads to become slick. In addition the subfreezing temperatures Saturday night may cause black ice to form from earlier rainfall. Please stay tuned for later forecasts and potential changes.
