This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT Thunderstorms: Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon, favoring interior and east coast metro areas. The main threats should consist of heavy rain, cloud to ground lightning strikes, small hail and gusty winds especially over Palm Beach and Broward Counties late this afternoon into early this evening. Wind: The strongest thunderstorms will be capable of producing winds up to around 50 mph especially over Palm Beach and Broward Counties late this afternoon into early this evening. Hail: The strongest thunderstorms will be capable of producing small hail especially over Palm Beach and Broward Counties late this afternoon into early this evening. Flooding: Heavy rainfall from thunderstorms this afternoon into early evening could lead to ponding or localize flooding in poorly drainage areas. Temperature: Heat index values will rise to 100 to 105 degrees across most of South Florida today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are forecast for the remainder of the week each afternoon and early evening over the interior region. Lightning will be the main hazard.
