This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southwest Lower

The flood potential will remain high through tonight as several
rounds of heavy rain are forecasted. Local ice jams may occur.
A few thunderstorms will be possible into Tuesday evening. Any
stronger storm could contain gusty winds.
Fog could be locally dense.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday
High water levels are forecasted on the area rivers through the
end of the week as the water routes its way downstream into Lake
Michigan. Several additional storm systems are possible Thursday
Night into Friday and again on Sunday which could lead to

The Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of central Michigan, south central Michigan,
southwest Michigan, and west central Michigan, including the
following areas, in central Michigan, Clare, Gratiot,
Isabella, Mecosta, Montcalm, and Osceola. In south central
Michigan, Calhoun, Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Ionia, and Jackson.
In southwest Michigan, Allegan, Barry, Kalamazoo, Kent,
Ottawa, and Van Buren. In west central Michigan, Lake, Mason,
Muskegon, Newaygo, and Oceana.
* Through Wednesday afternoon
* 2 to 3 inches of rain is expected through Wednesday morning.
Locally higher amounts are possible.
* The rainfall, combined with melting snow, could cause flooding
across the area.

* at 09 PM Monday the stage was 2.6 feet.
* Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
* Forecast, the river will rise to near 5.5 feet by Thursday morning.
* Impact, at 6.0 feet...Expect minor flooding of several cottages,
canoe liveries, and farmland along the river.
