This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas. .DAY ONE...Tonight. Weather hazards expected... Limited hail risk. Limited lightning risk. Limited non thunderstorm wind risk. DISCUSSION... Gusty south winds will be possible this afternoon and tonight with some gusts of 35 mph possible. Showers and thunderstorms will become more numerous tonight with some heavy rain possible. Small hail will also be possible with stronger storms over far southwest Missouri. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. Periods of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain will continue on Tuesday into Tuesday night and may lead to some flooding, especially in low lying areas. A cold front will begin pushing into the area on Tuesday with sub freezing temperatures pushing in late Tuesday into Tuesday night. This will cause rain to change over to some freezing rain. Periods of freezing rain will be possible from Tuesday night into Thursday morning, although there may be times where it warms up above freezing and then drop below freezing again as the freezing line is expected to meander back and forth. Ice amounts of a tenth to quarter of an inch will be possible. An additional round of rain will then be possible late in the week into next weekend. Total rainfall amounts from today through next weekend of 2 to 6.5 inches may be possible, but there remains uncertainty with amounts and timing with the late week/next weekend system. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight. && More detailed information can be accessed at: http://www.weather.gov/sgf/sitrep This product in graphical format...along with other weather... hydrological and climate information...at http://www.weather.gov/sgf
