This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest Iowa...west central Iowa...east central Nebraska...northeast Nebraska and southeast Nebraska. .DAY ONE...Tonight and Tuesday Widespread flooding along rivers and streams will continue through tonight across most of eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. The main rivers that are flooding include the Missouri River, the Platte River, Elkhorn River, the Big Blue River and the lower Nishnabotna River. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday night through Monday Moderate to major flooding will continue this week in much of eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Flooding along the Missouri River is expected all week. There is a chance for rain and snow mix Monday night. Up to a half inch of liquid from rain and melted snow is possible, with areas south of Interstate 80 seeing the brunt of accumulation. Another storm system entering the region late in the week could bring another quarter to three quarters of an inch of rain from Friday night through Sunday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed, but please report flooding to the National Weather Service.
