This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Texas and Oklahoma
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
A Heat Advisory has been issued for Palo Duro Canyon from 1PM CDT
to 7PM CDT as temperatures are expected to reach 105 to 106
Isolated thunderstorms are possible through this evening across
the Oklahoma Panhandle and northern Texas Panhandle. A few storms
that develop may become strong, with gusty winds to around 55 mph
and locally heavy rainfall the primary hazards.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Thunderstorms will be possible across mainly the northwestern
Texas Panhandle and western Oklahoma Panhandle Thursday afternoon
and evening and again Friday afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms
will then be possible again Sunday night through Tuesday across
most of the Panhandles. Strong gusty winds and heavy rain will be
the main hazards Wednesday through Friday. Strong to severe storms
will be possible Sunday night through Monday with large hail and
damaging winds being the primary threats.
A Heat Advisory will be possible for some areas on the Caprock and
especially in Palo Duro Canyon Thursday through Sunday as high
temperatures approach 105 to 107 degrees.
