Early morning wind chills across north-central Wisconsin will be
in the 20 below zero to 25 below zero range. The cold wind chills
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Hazardous travel is possible along the Lake Michigan shoreline
Sunday night and Monday due to lake effect snow showers.
A significant weather system is expected to bring accumulating
snow to the region Monday night through Tuesday night. It appears
a widespread 3 to 6 inches of snowfall is expected, with locally
higher amounts possible. Given the duration of the event and how
far out it is, exact headlines cannot be determined. However it
appears more likely that winter weather headlines will be needed
in subsequent forecasts with this system.
