...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM EST FRIDAY THROUGH
The Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, southwest
Virginia, and West Virginia, including the following areas, in
northeast Kentucky, Boyd, Carter, Greenup, and Lawrence KY. In
southeast Ohio, Gallia, Jackson OH, and Lawrence OH. In
southwest Virginia, Buchanan and Dickenson. In West Virginia,
Boone, Cabell, Clay, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, McDowell,
Mingo, Northwest Fayette, Northwest Nicholas, Northwest
Raleigh, Putnam, Southeast Fayette, Southeast Nicholas,
Southeast Raleigh, Wayne, and Wyoming.
* From 1 AM EST Friday through Sunday morning
* A storm system is expected to move into the region overnight
tonight and continue through the weekend. This system has the
potential to produce rainfall amounts between 1.50 to 2.50
inches of rain. With the already saturated ground, most of
this rain will flow into streams and creeks and eventually
into the rivers, making flooding is a good possibility.
* Possible flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas and
Roadways, especially near streams, creeks and rivers.
